Milan police seek man in armed robbery
MILAN, Tenn. — Police are asking for help from the public in finding a man wanted in an armed robbery.
Desmond Stewart, 18, of Milan is wanted in connection with an armed robbery that took place May 26 on Wahl Street, according to the Milan Police Department.
Another man, Keenan Booth, 18, also of Milan, has been taken into custody in the incident. He is charged with aggravated robbery and possession of stolen property.
According to a police report, the victim told police a man got out of the passenger side of a vehicle, put a gun to his back and robbed him of $140 before fleeing, according to a police report.
Police located a vehicle matching the description and tried to pull it over, but the driver, later identified as Booth, reportedly would not pull over until he reached his home about a half mile up the road.

Booth later told officers Stewart had been a passenger in his vehicle and had told him to stop on Wahl Street before jumping out and robbing the victim at gunpoint.
Officers found a handgun in the back seat floor board matching the description from the victim.
