Kentucky man charged in deaths of man, wife

LONDON, Ky. (AP) – A Kentucky sheriff says a man has been charged in the deaths of two people whose bodies were found shot to death at the scene of a house fire.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says in a news release that 34-year-old Bradley Justin Lawson of Corbin was charge Saturday night with two counts of first-degree murder, robbery, arson and tampering with physical evidence.

Root says the bodies of Donnie Jackson and his wife, Sharon Jackson, were found with gunshot wounds at a house fire on March 8 about eight miles south of London. Root says Lawson apparently knew the victims.

The release says Lawson already was incarcerated in the Laurel County Detention Center on unrelated charges.
