JCS Eagles look to keep rolling

JACKSON, Tenn — The Jackson Christian Eagles are known for having a good girls soccer program. They’ve made an appearance in three straight state tournaments. After losing their career leading goal scorer and a group of talented club soccer players, the Eagles don’t plan to miss a beat.

Head coach Jeff Lean said they won a lot of games last year in blow out fashion. He doesn’t expect to lose those games now, just have to work harder and earn the victory.

The team is going through a rigorous training camp now which consists of two outside practices and one tactical session in a classroom. Lean said he prepares his players for college, for those who move on, the training camp style will be normal to them.

Senior, Catie Hatch, has high hopes for her team this season. “My expectations are for us to get to state and compete there, but if we don’t I guess that’s just how it goes,” said Hatch.  “But I’m going to do everything I can to get there. ”

The Eagles open up the season against Liberty Tech.
