Scattered storms stick around Friday
Weather Update: 11:30 PM Thursday
Scattered showers moved back into the area this evening. Isolated thunderstorms were short lived but still brought heavy rain through parts of the area. Things should settle down as we go overnight, for the most part. Some scattered showers in coverage are still possible but the best chance for rain returns Friday. Temps have barely falling and are sitting in the upper 70s.
Tonight we should get a brief break in the shower activity but more rain is on the way. There is a slight possibility for a lingering shower or two but the majority of the rain activity returns tomorrow. Temps tonight should fall into the low 70s. It’ll be a muggy and cloudy night.
Friday, more on and off rain showers and thunderstorms continue. Abnormally dry conditions still persist for almost all of West Tennessee so the rain is still much needed. Afternoon hours have the best chance for scattered activity to blossom. Temps stay below average and are only expected to near the 90 degree mark. Some areas may not break into the 90s again. Overnight showers and thunderstorms are likely Friday night into Saturday.
Saturday and Sunday keep the chance for more scattered showers and thunderstorms. Heavy rain and frequent lightning are likely within the thunderstorms. The on and off rain showers even stick around all weekend. Temps still stay below average and warm into the upper 80s.
