Man admits selling meth to undercover officer in Gulfport
GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) – Prosecutors say a 28-year-old Gulfport man has admitted selling meth to an undercover narcotics officer and been ordered to serve five full years in prison.
Assistant District Attorney Mitch Owen tells the Sun Herald Gulfport police arrested Aaron Wayne Page after his second sale, which was in a parking lot in 2014.
Owen said Page pleaded guilty this week on two counts of transfer of a controlled substance in Harrison County Circuit Court.
Judge Roger Clark sentenced Page to 10 years in prison, and suspended five years but ordered five years behind bars without eligibility for early release. The suspended five years will be served on post-release supervision.
Owen said Gulfport police narcotics officers began investigating Page and his associates after he sold meth to an undercover officer.
