Area faithful gather for fun, fellowship and prayer for new school year
JACKSON, Tenn.-Just days after the start of a brand new school year, prayer warriors from different denominations across the Hub City gather for a common cause, Wednesday night.
The prayer rally provided a night of fun and fellowship for dozens of Jackson residents.
The evening began with games for the kids, a meal was also served, followed by a time of prayer.
Residents lifted up the staff and student of area schools in prayer.
“Just the enthusiasm of the people that have volunteered and the interest in the people that are attending and getting to meet people and praying together, it’s worth all the effort and all the heat, it’s been a very good summer, said organizer, Danny Sorrell.
Wednesday night’s meeting concluded a summer’s worth of prayer services across the city.
However, organizers hope to hold more rallies every couple of months and continue the tradition.
