Rallings named Director of MPD

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Interim Memphis Police Director Michael Rallings has been given the job permanently.

Image courtesy: Memphis Police Dept. Media outlets report Mayor Jim Strickland named Rallings to the position full time Sunday.

Rallings has been with the department since he joined the police academy in 1990. He succeeded Toney Armstrong earlier this year.
