Accused gunman who was stabbed by homeowner appears in court
JACKSON, Tenn. — An accused gunman who was stabbed by a homeowner appeared Monday morning in court a week after being indicted by a Madison County grand jury.
Chew Sawyer was officially charged with aggravated assault, attempted aggravated burglary, theft, tampering with evidence and two weapons counts.
Sawyer entered a not guilty plea and is set to be back in court Sept. 6.
