Former church intern appears on solicitation charges

JACKSON, Tenn. — Former Englewood Baptist Church intern and Union University student Heath Ransom appeared Monday in court after being indicted last week.

Ransom is now set to go to trial on various counts of solicitation of a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

His attorney, Daniel Taylor, said in court they were going through discovery and plan to file motions over the next month.

Ransom is set to be back in court Sept. 27.
