TBI: News conference on officer involved shooting in Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Officers with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations have confirmed that the victim of a north Jackson shooting is a TBI agent.

The shooting happened a little before 2 p.m., Tuesday on Brianfield Cove in north Jackson. Officers searched the area for about an 45 minutes. WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News crews saw a man being taken away in handcuffs by police.

No other information has been released on the status of the victim nor the investigation.

The TBI will be holding a news conference at 6 p.m. that will air on WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News.
