Update: Gibson Co. fugitive now in custody

GIBSON COUNTY, Tenn. — A man wanted by deputies on burglary and theft charges is now in custody.

Thomas Brent Patterson, 34, was arrested around 3 p.m. Wednesday by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and deputies with the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

Patterson was taken into custody without incident in the Laneview-Concord area near Trenton.

Sheriff Paul Thomas thanked the U.S. Marshals Service for working closely with deputies and spending countless man hours over the past few days to help bring Patterson back into custody.

Patterson is currently being held at the Gibson County Correctional Complex.

He will face charges in Gibson County now and later will be transferred to Weakley and Shelby counties to face other charges, according to the release.
