Benton Co. Schools closed Friday after water main break, boil alert

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — All Benton County Schools will be closed Friday, Aug. 12, as a precaution after a water main break and resulting 24-hour water boil alert.

Officials with the school system say the water main has been repaired but that the boil alert will last 24 hours, ending around 8 a.m. Friday.

School officials say they decided to call off school for another day as a safety precaution.
