Car, ambulance collide in west Jackson
JACKSON, Tenn.-A violent crash between an ambulance en route to call and a SUV had emergency crews rusing to the scene, Thursday evening. It happened around 8:30 p.m., at the intersection of Russell Road and West Forest Ave.
Officers on the scene told WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News, the ambulance was on the way to a call with its lights and sirens on, when the SUV failed to yield.
The impact flipped the SUV, but officers said the two people inside were able to get out on their own and appeared to be alright.
One of the two EMTs was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Officers said it is unclear if any citations will be issued.
