Local residents learn methods to beat diabetes
JACKSON, Tenn. — West Tennesseans on Thursday learned ways to beat diabetes, a disease that affects thousands in our area.
The event was the second in a series that presents free information to those suffering with type one or type two diabetes.
It was hosted at O’Charley’s restaurant where Dr. Shannon Bone, a chiropractor, talked about how people can improve their overall health and possibly reverse their diabetes.
“We need to be educating people even who are on medication who have progressed to that point as diabetic, and even if they’re on insulin that there are ways that you can dramatically reduce that and sometimes completely come off those medications,” Bone said.
The last session will be at 6 p.m. next Tuesday.
