Man charged in wounding of 4-year-old child

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) – Police in Memphis have charged a man in the shooting of a 4-year-old child.

Media outlets report 26-year-old Johnathan Miller was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon.

Police say the 4-year-old was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound on Aug. 7.

A police affidavit says witnesses identified Miller through a photo lineup as a suspect. He was booked into jail on Friday on $300,000 bond and is due in court for a hearing Monday.
