Pennel remembered for service to library

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison County library has a new addition.  A plaque bearing the name of one of the library’s friendliest faces was unveiled, Tuesday, on what would have been her 70th birthday.  Judy Pennel loved books and loved helping others.  Her years of service are now forever remembered as part of the library.

Pennel passed away earlier this year.  She’d retired from the library after 14 years of helping others find books and answers.  She served as both a reference and public services librarian.

Those with the library say they hope the plaque serves as encouragement to all seekers of knowledge.
