Authorities offer reward in 3 West Tenn. post office burglaries

HARDIN COUNTY, Tenn. — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is offering a cash reward for information in recent burglaries of three West Tennessee post offices.

Post office burglary graphicPost offices in Shiloh, Counce and Michie were burglarized either Thursday night or Friday morning, according to a release from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

Inspectors recommend customers closely monitor their bank and credit card accounts for suspicious activity and contact their local law enforcement agencies or the Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 if they become aware of fraudulent activity related to the theft of their mail, according to the release.

The service is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible.
