TBI Public Information Officer Susan Niland said in an email that it has not been determined whether the death is a homicide. She said the TBI investigates unattended suspicious deaths as a homicide until and unless it is determined to be otherwise.

Niland said the results will help investigators better determine the cause of death. The results usually take several weeks to complete.

The TBI’s investigation is active and ongoing.
