Officers donate green house equipment to South Side High School
JACKSON, Tenn. — Have you ever wondered what happens to items confiscated by local law enforcement? In some cases, it gets donated to schools.
Wednesday, agriculture students at South Side High School helped unload trucks full of equipment seized by the Metro Narcotics Drug Task Force.
Students will be able to use the donated filters, heaters and lights to help with temperature control inside their green house.
“Our money is limited, and we don’t always have the opportunity to buy things in the science labs, so this is a great donation for them,” South Side Principal Anita Tucker said.
Every year, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office says it tries to donate useful items to local schools.
