TBI: Woman charged with attempted murder in Crockett Co. shooting
CROCKETT COUNTY, Tenn. — A Bells woman is facing an attempted first-degree murder charge in the recent shooting of a man in Friendship.
Katie Vaile, 26, is charged in the Aug. 17 shooting of 29-year-old Jeffrey Long, according to a release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Long was shot in his residence in the 7000 block of Highway 189 in Friendship, according to the release.
U.S. Marshals and TBI agents arrested Vaile Tuesday at a Brownsville motel.
She was booked into the Crockett County Jail on a $550,000 bond.
