Weather Update– 9:30AM
Temperature wise, everyone is in the low 70s and keeping things mostly mild, minus the soupy humidity. With the sun rising, it is going to be getting even more hot.
Things definitely quieted down as we went into the overnight hours. Some of you might have seen a few lingering showers, but the thunder and lightening finally gave up. Quite a bit of rain and loud thunderstorms made their way through Tennessee yesterday leaving us with more sticky and humid conditions. The clouds should continue to move out so we will have partly sunny skies for today. We are going to keep a low chance for a pop-up thunderstorm or rain shower in the forecast because of the energy that is highly possible to generate and cause scattered activity.
As far as Sunday goes, we should expect even less rain but not take out the chance just yet. Temperatures are going to stay hot and the humidity levels are going to be dreadful until we have another system push its way through the midsouth and as of right now, it is possible we could see that by the end of the week.
The forecast for the week is not going to change very much. It will remain like summer conditions. Hot, humid and a chance for afternoon pop-up showers and storms.
