Weather Update 9:30 Sunday

Currently temps are still in the upper 70s to low 80s. Temps haven’t moved much even after the sunset. The heat and humidity stick around this week and we have the chance for showers to start the week. There were a few scattered showers with heavy rain that made there way through parts of the area this afternoon. But, things have calmed and mostly clear skies are across West Tennessee.

A clam and clear night is expected tonight. There could be a few passing clouds but other than that, it’ll be quiet for West Tennessee. Temps look to drop into the upper 60s for some or the lower to mid 70s elsewhere. It’ll still be a muggy night but not too bad.

Monday temps stay in the low 90s which is just above the average for this time of year. Again, with the humidity, it’ll feel closer to 100 degrees at times. There is a chance for some showers to develop in the afternoon with the heating of the day. I don’t think we’ll see widespread showers but there could be a few thunderstorms to dodge across the area.

This pattern continues through midweek by the end of the week into the holiday weekend temps drop slightly* and will be in the upper 80s.
