2 face drug charges after Weakley Co. deputies respond to burglary call at their home
WEAKLEY COUNTY, Tenn. — Two people are jailed after deputies responded Thursday night to a burglary call at a home where the residents ended up being arrested.
David James Marcus and Dallas Wilmath now face several drug charges after officers say they uncovered an apparent marijuana grow, other drugs, paraphernalia and a loaded gun inside their home on Highway 54.
When deputies arrived at the home, Marcus told them 13 children were inside, jumping out of windows, climbing in the attic and running in the woods, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. Wilmath reportedly told deputies she had seen three of the children.
Deputies searched the woods and attic but did not find any children.
Both Marcus and Wilmath admitted to taking pain medication and Marcus had been drinking alcohol, according to the release.
