State awarded $5.7 million grant for veterans cemetery at Parkers Crossroads

HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — The state of Tennessee has been awarded a $5.7 million federal grant for construction of the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.

Parkers Crossroads blurU.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., announced the grant Friday.

“I was honored to support funding for the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads, which will ensure that more than 40,000 veterans and their families receive the honor and respect they deserve for their service and sacrifice,” Sen. Alexander said in a release.
