“Rock the Block” benefits Crockett Co. Carl Perkins Center

ALAMO, Tenn.-Half of Alamo’s court square was shut down for a huge block party, Saturday afternoon.

Screen Shot 2016-09-10 at 10.05.49 PM“Rock the Block” was sponsored by the Crockett County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse,  Blackberry Salon and local churches.  There were rides, games, face painting and food at the event.

More than 50 volunteers worked at the event so families could have a memorable afternoon in court square.

“This is just a great way to do community service and provide an excellent fun event for the children of of this community,” said Bethany Outlaw, director of the Crockett County Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

The Crockett County center hopes to make “Rock the Block” an annual event to benefit the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
