Driver sent to hospital after crash in east Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — A Monday afternoon wreck in east Jackson sends one person to the hospital.

The crash happened around 3 p.m. off Highway 70 and Lexington Avenue.

Jackson police say the driver of a blue SUV went to the hospital with serious injuries.

The wreck knocked down the street sign and left debris on the side of the road.

Police called in a traffic reconstruction specialist to determine the cause of the wreck.
