Grant will help organization provide homes for disabled
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Tennessee Housing Development Agency presented Intunity with a nearly $300,000 grant.
Intunity, previously known as the Housing Foundation of West Tennessee, helps to build homes for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Intunity is currently in the process of buying property in the area to renovate and says they are excited by this opportunity.
“We’ll be using it to acquire and rehab eight homes in the Jackson, Tennessee, Madison County area,” said Dexter Washington, president of Intunity. “Jackson also has a very big need for homes for individuals with disabilities, so we’re really excited to be a part of this program that will do that for Jackson.
Each home that Intunity builds here will be able to house up to three people with disabilities.
