Martin Police Department awarded for traffic safety program
MARTIN, Tenn. — Congratulations are in order for the Martin Police Department as its traffic safety program brings home statewide honors.
Patrol Lt. Eric Reed and Terminal Agency Coordinator Katie Perry accepted an award on behalf of the department at the 2016 Tennessee Highway Safety Office Law Enforcement Challenge in Murfreesboro on Friday.
The department says the annual competition is designed to recognize and award the best overall traffic safety programs across the state.
Martin police brought home a second-place trophy and several electronic prizes.
