Great American Air Show is this weekend at Discovery Park of America

UNION CITY, Tenn. — Some old birds are taking to the skies this weekend to impress the crowds below.

The second annual Great American Air Show will be held this Saturday at the Discovery Park of America in Union City.

Organizers say the show will feature even more planes than last year along with aerobatics, war maneuvers and more.

The air show will be held on the great lawn, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

“There’s going to be several different planes twirling and dancing above us in the skies — and it’s free,” Katie Jarvis with Discovery Park of America said.

Gates open at 4 p.m. Saturday at Discovery Park, and the air show will start at 5 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free for everyone, and there will be food available.
