Showers and Thunderstorms End the Week

Weather Update – 10:30 p.m. Thursday
Showers will gradually dissipate leaving us with partly cloudy to mostly clear skies over a warm and humid night. Temperatures will start out in the upper 60s to lower 70s Friday morning. There’s a possibility for more heavy rain and lightning at times Friday with some widespread showers and thunderstorms over the weekend.
FRIDAY
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies will kick off our Friday. While the morning should once again be mainly dry, there’s a chance for more scattered showers and thunderstorms from the later hours of the morning through the afternoon and evening. Showers and thunderstorms will be hit-or-miss, so prepare for one of those heavy downpours just in case! High temperatures could reach the lower to middle 90s for the 11th day this month. On average, September has 7 days at or above 90°F.
THIS WEEKEND
A cold front will move into West Tennessee on Saturday increasing a chance for rain across the area. We’re looking at a 60% chance for showers and thunderstorms on Saturday with rain likeliest from the later hours of the morning through the afternoon and evening. Rain could be heavy at times with some thunderstorms producing frequent lightning and strong winds.
