5 airlifted after I-40 crash in Henderson County
HENDERSON COUNTY, Tenn. — Five people have been airlifted after a Friday night crash on Interstate 40 in Henderson County.
The crash occurred around 7 p.m. in the westbound lanes near mile marker 113, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The lanes were reportedly reopened to traffic around 9 p.m.
Five people including children were airlifted from the scene, according to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office.
There is not yet word on the extent of the injuries.
