Humboldt police, TBI investigate woman’s death
HUMBOLDT, Tenn. — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is assisting Humboldt police in investigating the death of a woman whose body was found Friday afternoon.
Officers were dispatched around 1 p.m. Friday to a location on North 22nd Avenue where a 44-year-old black woman from Humboldt was found dead, according to a release from the Humboldt Police Department.
The department and the TBI are investigating the cause and manner of death, according to the release.
They have not released the woman’s name.
