Packed house cheers on community members in game against the Harlem Wizards

HENDERSON, Tenn. — It was a night of fun and fundraising at the Chester County High School gym, Thursday night.  Faculty members from kindergarten to twelfth grade, as well as members of the Chester County Sheriff’s Office and Henderson Police Department tried their basketball skills against the Harlem Wizards.  The Wizards travel the country helping schools raise money through an entertaining and interactive game of basketball.

At one point, the highly skilled Wizards, a team of five, took on a crowd of 30 community members, providing an evening of laughs.  The principal estimated close to a thousand people attended the fundraiser.

As the team of community members rested between quarters, the Wizards played a little pick up with students who were brave enough to take the court.

Chester County Middle School Assistant Principal Tommie Kirk said the night was all about having fun as families.  “We were able to enjoy each other and get a good laugh while watching a good game,” he said.

All proceeds went back to the Chester County School District.
