Police: Woman found passed out at wheel with 2 children in back seat
JACKSON, Tenn. — A Jackson woman is facing child endangerment charges after police say they found her unresponsive behind the wheel of her car with her two young children in the back seat.
Trinity Mann, 22, was taken into custody Friday night after police found her unresponsive in her vehicle, which was still in drive, at the intersection of North Royal Street and Lane Avenue, according to court documents.
Mann’s 3-year-old and 9-month-old daughters both were asleep in the back seat of the car, according to an affidavit.
Court papers say EMS was able to wake Mann up by giving her a medication that reverses the effects of narcotics.
Police say the car smelled like marijuana and that they found a bottle of alcohol in a diaper bag in the front passenger seat.
Mann also is charged with introduction of contraband into a penal facility after police say they found a small bag of marijuana in her bra while she was being processed at the jail.
Mann is free on a $10,000 bond.
