AT&T gives $5K donation to Jackson State Community College

JACKSON, Tenn. — AT&T gave a generous gift Thursday to Jackson State Community College.

The $5,000 donation is part of AT&T’s Aspire grant for non-traditional students at the east Jackson college.

School leaders say gifts like these make educational challenges more manageable.

“You have challenges of work, you have challenges of finances and just other life activities that come into play, so of those three things, being able to help with the dollars always an ease and removes some other things out of the way,” Interim President Horace Chase said.

A total of $100,000 is being donated to similar schools across the state.
