UT Plant Sale brings out garden enthusiasts from around the area

JACKSON, Tenn.-With fall finally here, now is the perfect time to get your yard in shape.

Today, hundreds came out for the annual Fall Plant Sale and Garden Lecture Series, hosted by the UT Gardens at the West Tennessee Ag Research and Education center.

Experts offered advice and plants were up for sale including trees, shrubs, and a wide selection other plants for the winter season.
One local gardener said he found some valuable information to get his yard ready for the new season.

“There’s so much information given to you ahead of time, so you know what you’re looking at when you’re here. And they’ve got the display gardens here where you can actually run out there and look at what it look like in full bloom,” said Mike Johnson, a local gardener.

The UT Gardens include plant collections located in Knoxville, Jackson and Crossville.
