TBI: Camden woman charged with arson, insurance fraud

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. — A Camden woman has been charged with arson and insurance fraud after a Thursday morning fire at her home.

Wanda Hensley, 67, was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of arson and one count of false or fraudulent insurance claim, according to a release from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

The Benton County Fire Department extinguished the fire early Thursday morning at Hensley’s home in the 200 block of South Point Drive in Camden.

Investigators later found multiple points of origin of the fire, and further investigation revealed that Hensley, the homeowner, was responsible, according to the release.

Hensley is being held in the Benton County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.
