JMC Library hosting ‘socktober’ to benefit area shelters

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson-Madison county library is accepting sock donations in exchange for fines for the month of October.

Each new pair of socks donated will knock off $1 from overdue fines.

According to a social media post made by the library, socks of all sizes are needed and will be accepted at both branch locations.

The library plans to take the donations to area shelters.
