Capt. Randy Hayes named firefighter of the year

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Exchange Club named Capt. Randy Hayes firefighter of the year Tuesday at its luncheon.

The club hosts the annual event to honor either a Madison County or Jackson firefighter.

Hayes was nominated by the Jackson Fire Department and was recognized for his efforts to make the Hub City a better place to live.
