Police recover body of elderly man outside east Jackson home

JACKSON, Tenn. — Police said Wednesday afternoon that they are investigating the case of an unattended death in east Jackson.

Police and EMS crews rushed to a house on the corner of North Royal Street and Greenwood Avenue where they found the body of an elderly man.

Neighbors told us the man has lived in the house for a long time. Police have not released the man’s name but believe he is in his late 60s or early 70s.

Officers also have not released a possible cause of death.
