Weather Update- 8AM

Most of the rain has pushed through and moved into Middle Tennessee, with just a little bit of it left in Harden and McNairy counties. The temperatures are hanging out in the low 60s for most of us here in West Tennessee. Some areas might feel just slightly cooler with the temperatures dipping down into the upper 50s in areas like Camden, Paris, Lexington and Parsons Tennessee. The heavy and dense fog that we had this morning has dissipated for most areas, some are still seeing a little bit of it especially in Union City.

We have lots of sunshine in store for today after a very gloomy and rainy day yesterday! Some areas saw more rain in one day than the total amount of rain we had in the month of September. The clouds are already making their way out of West Tennessee, so we should already have mostly clear skies to start the day. Temperatures are also going to get unseasonably warm for the month of October reaching up into the mid 80s! I’m not looking forward to the warmth making another return!

By the end of the week however we will begin to see another round of relief. With an increasing chance of rain starting in the middle of the work week, the temperatures will begin to fall again going back down into the 70s.

I hope everyone has a great, safe weekend!
