Emergency storm drain repairs force road closure
JACKSON, Tenn. — An emergency road closure in north Jackson will have several homeowners walking to their houses for a little while.
The Engineering Department of Jackson announced, Monday, all lanes of Gracelyn Drive off of Country Club Lane will be temporarily closed near the dead end of the cove. The closure is for all traffic, including those who live in the area. This is so the city’s Stormwater Operations Department can make emergency storm pipe repairs.
The closure will begin on Tuesday, Oct. 17, at 7:00 a.m. The closure is expected to last until Wednesday, at 3 p.m. Homeowners are asked to park their vehicles north of the closure.
Crews will not only replace the affected storm drain pipe, but make other necessary repairs.
For more information or questions about the closure, call the Engineering Department at 731-425-8221.
