Pets blessed as part of Bethel’s Homecoming festivities
MCKENZIE, Tenn. — A special homecoming tradition was held on the campus of Bethel University, Wednesday evening.
Pet owners were invited to bring their four-legged friends to the school’s Alumni Garden for the school’s 6th Annual Animal Blessing.
Senior Chaplin Dr. Ann Hames said the ceremony is about recognizing the significance of the furry little creatures in our lives.
“The animals that we live with are such an important part of many people’s lives,” said Dr. Hames. “This is about acknowledging our pets are gifts from the Lord and blessing them and their owners.”
Bethel’s Homecoming week festivities continues through Saturday, ending with the Wildcats’ football game.
