Woman charged after attempting to run pedestrian over
JACKSON, Tenn — A woman is facing an aggravated assault charge after police say she drove her vehicle into a yard in an attempt to run a pedestrian over Tuesday.
Police documents report Velma Reed, a resident of Madison County, allegedly attempted to strike the victim twice with her vehicle but was unsuccessful.
The reports also say skid marks from the vehicle were present at the scene upon arrival.
Reed was taken into custody for aggravated assault.
