Lady Eagles headed back to The Boro
JACKSON, Tenn — After losing their all time leading goal scorer and ten seniors to division one programs, the Jackson Christian Eagles are headed back to The Boro for the fourth time in four years. This is the first time a group of seniors has been to state in four consecutive seasons under head coach Jeff Lean. But this year instead of being the favorites, their the underdogs. But their not paying attention to that.
“The past three years, we’ve said hey, let’s go win the state tournament,” Lean said. ”
This year we sat down and said this is a different team. There’s a lot of teams in West Tennessee that are better than us, and so the goal is always kind of, what’s one step further than you’re capable of and so this year, the goal is just get to state, and there’s a certain level of freedom going into it.”
