Police ask public to help ID man who used fake cash at Jackson bakery

JACKSON, Tenn. — Investigators are hoping the public can help identify a man they say passed fake cash at a local bakery.

Gigis counterfeit cashPolice say security footage shows a man bought a cupcake with a counterfeit $50 bill on July 9 at Gigi’s Cupcakes on Vann Drive.

They describe the suspect as a black man with a slim build, around 20 years old and wearing a white v-neck t-shirt, black Adidas pants and black and white shoes.

Anyone who can identify the man can call Jackson police at 731-425-8400 or Crime Stoppers at 731-424-TIPS (8477) or text CRIMES (274637) with the keyword “tips 911” along with the tip.
