Weather Update – 11:00 p.m. Wednesday

Skies will remain mostly clear tonight with light and variable winds. This should set us up for a much cooler night than we had last night with temperatures starting in the lower to middle 50s by sunrise at 7:14 a.m. Friday morning. Patchy fog will be possible just before sunrise but shouldn’t be particularly dense or last very long.

FRIDAY
Tomorrow will be a warm and mostly sunny day! Temperatures will reach highs in the lower to middle 80s during the afternoon with light winds. The record high in Jackson for Friday is 84°F (1991) and temperatures are forecast to reach 82°F, so we’ll be close!

THIS WEEKEND & HALLOWEEN
October’s final days will feature highs in the lower to middle (and possibly upper) 80s  this weekend with temperatures starting out in the middle to upper 50s during the morning. Both Saturday and Sunday could have temperatures set new record highs. Conditions could be windy at times this weekend and considering the continued drought West Tennessee has had, outdoor burning is still discouraged!

DroughtMonitor10272016

Expect a warm day on Halloween with temperatures in the lower to middle 80s during the afternoon, cooling down to just the upper 60s and lower 70s by the evening. No rain in the forecast, that is, until the end of next week.

Have a great night!
