School leaders hold Family Life curriculum meeting
JACKSON, Tenn.-Jackson-Madison County parents had the chance to voice their opinions about the district’s family life curriculum.
The public forum is a requirement by the state of Tennessee.
Tuesday, no parents attended the forum, however a few teachers did.
No direct changes could be made at the forum but leaders say it is important to get any feedback they can.
“It just gives us a chance to evaluate the family life curriculum to see if there is anything that we need to address at the district level or the state level,” said Brian Chandler, leader of elementary education.
The curriculum is only provided in the middle and high schools.
