Chilly start to Monday but a comfortable afternoon

****The Forestry Department of Tennessee has stopped issuing burn permits for the state because of the drought conditions. Only a few counties out east are under a burn ban, as well as parts of northern Mississippi, so you can still burn bonfires in your fire pits but you cannot burn in your yard, legally without a permit and those will not be issued until the dry conditions improve.****

Weather Update 10: 30 PM Sunday

Currently it’s crisp and chilly with temps in the upper 40s to low 50s. Clouds should stay away through the rest of the night but start to build back into West Tennessee tomorrow.

Tonight, it’ll be another crisp one for us, especially as we head into the morning. Temps look to drop  back into the 40s and a few locations could wake up to the upper 30s again.

Layers will be your friend again for Monday. You’ll definitely want the jackets, vest, and sweaters as you head out the door for school and work. You won’t need them by the afternoon. T-shirt weather returns as we look to reach back into the mid 70s. Now there will still be another afternoon with clouds in and out of the area so it will be another nice fall day.

There is a minimal chance for rain on Tuesday as a weak cold front starts to approach the area. This could bring hit or miss showers on Tuesday so I’d keep the umbrella in the back seat of the car just in case. Not every will get the rain and it isn’t expected to be substantial either. So it won’t bring a lot of relief to West Tennessee.

This week we are looking at the mix of sun and clouds to continue and temperatures to be comfortable and in the upper 60s to mid 70s.  It’ll be a nice and seasonal, comfortable week. We can finally start to pull out our nice fall clothing and it’ll be useful this week!
