Lane College, Union University students discuss top political issues
JACKSON, Tenn.-Local college students tackle some of the top political issues.
Members of Lane College’s Student Government Association hosted a political discussion panel on campus, Monday evening.
Guest panelists from Union University also participated in the discussion on hot topics. Organizers said forums like these are a great way to get everyone involved in the political process.
“I hope that everybody gets out the importance of why they need to be voting, not sitting at home doing nothing. If there’s a problem, there’s an issue, there’s a voice that they need to be heard, go out and vote,” said Braylin Laster, president of the SGA at Lane College.
More than 50 people attended the political discussion.
